Last month, I confessed my love of the holidays in a post, where I listed all my favorite new holiday pieces. Now I get to share with you, the fun holiday project that JABC has been working on. We're celebrating both Christmas and Halloween in July!
Yesterday, as part of our celebration, we released a whole new product, Spoolkeeps!
Meet Frankie Monster, Gus Ghost, Baskin Kitty, Barney Bat, Mumford Mummy and Wendy Witch (left to right).
Poinsettia, Old Saint Nick, Mr. Snowman, Ruddy and Santa's Helper (left to right).
These sweet miniature pincushions are made of a felted wool ball (HandBEHG Felts) and a wooden spool. They are embellished with bits of felted wool and JABC buttons and Just Pins. They're quick and fun to make!
You'll find the patterns for all 11 Spoolkeeps in quilt and cross stitch shops...and of course online shops!
I also thought you'd enjoy seeing our one-of-a-kind Uncle Sam Spoolkeep! He's wishing you Happy Holidays, no matter which holiday you're celebrating this July!

Guess What's New!
It's an exciting time at Just Another Button Company! It is the debut of a brand new product line and we are thrilled to finally get to share it with you!
JABC is releasing a line of Button Cards!
If you are a button lover like me, you've probably got a great big stash of buttons, new buttons, old buttons, pearl buttons, shirt buttons, handmade buttons and of course Just Another Button Company buttons. Most button lovers have a couple different stashes of buttons. For example, I have a stash of buttons that I have an idea for, a stash that go with projects that I've started making and then there is that stash full of buttons that I have absolutely no plan for but I just couldn't live without! Occasionally I will spend some quality time with those buttons, I'll get them out, sort through them, pet them, and then put them back in their special place. But my absolute favorite buttons in this category are the ones that are on button cards! They get to stay out on display all the time. They are nice and organized and I get to look at them every day.
Button cards turn even common buttons into a work of art.
Check out some of the button card art I've found online!
Now you can have Just Another Button Company buttons on cards. Each card has a themed assortment of buttons that are mounted with removable sticky dots. The buttons are kept safe and clean inside a cellophane bag. Use an assortment on a project or just collect and display the cards for inspiration.
We are beginning by releasing 26 varieties. They are all pictured below.
How do you display your favorite button cards? Try our method, fill the compartments of an antique soda crate with an assortment of button cards, loose buttons and old spools.

Summertime!
Oh how I love summertime! Okay, I know it's not officially summer, but in this heat it might as well be! So why do I love summer, you ask? Many reasons!
1. Ice cream!
2. Lightening Bugs (Fireflies)
Those are three of my favorites, but do you know what the best part of summertime is?
Designers start coming out with Halloween and Christmas creations! Here are a couple of my favorite holiday designs that we've seen so far! In no particular order.
The first design on my list is a quilt pattern from The Quilt Company, Sew Spooky!
Isn't this sweet? Head over to their website to check out Sew Spooky and the rest of their sweet designs!
Speaking of favorites, next on my list is an incredible Christmas quilt from the new Art to Heart book, Christmas Favorites!
Check out this book and Mischief and Curiosities (also new) on the Art to Heart website.
It's got me looking forward to Christmas already! Anyone for a cup of cocoa and a candy cane?
And the last one on my list so far is from CherryWood Design Studio. They are keeping the spirit alive all year with their Halloween series, Trick or Treat All Through The Year!
I just LOVE these two!
Keep the fabulous Holiday designs coming!
I'll keep you all updated as I add more to my personal list of favorites! For now, I hope you're enjoying your summer! Are you planning your Halloween and Christmas projects for the year?
